Parents' guide: what's OK for your kids and teens
821 movies and shows, each checked for violence, language, sex, drugs and scary scenes, with a specific note on every one and the youngest age we'd watch it with. Set the youngest viewer's age, pick a genre, and tick anything you'd rather skip.
🎃 For Halloween: everything spooky or scary, from Charlie Brown to real horror, or just the horror. Add the youngest viewer's age to see what fits.
Showing all 821, newest first.
Nothing matches all of that. Try a higher age, another genre, or fewer things to skip.

How we rate
Each entry is compiled from published sources, including the official MPA or TV rating, IMDb's parents' guide, Common Sense Media and Kids-In-Mind, and then checked a second time, separately, by a reviewer looking for anything the first pass missed or overstated. The notes are our own words, and each guide lists the sources it was checked against and when.
The age is the youngest viewer we'd suggest watching it with, not a rule. A 13+ film can be fine for a mature 11-year-old and wrong for a sensitive 14-year-old, which is why every category carries a note saying what is actually on screen. Series are rated across all their seasons; where a later season gets darker, the note says so.
