VisionQuest: parents' guide

13+our pick

Best for ages 13 and up. Rated TV-14.

A darker, more grown-up Marvel series best for teens. This guide covers only episodes 1-4 of 8 (released October 13 and 20, 2026), so later episodes may change things. Vision goes on the run with a teenager who may be his son, and gunfights leave several people dead on screen, including a point-blank head shot that sprays blood; a flashback shows a boy watching his father shot dead. A killer who takes victims' eyeballs and a possessed Vision with glowing red eyes add creepiness. Expect a few s-words per episode but no f-words, some crude jokes, and drinking at Vision's pub. We say 13.

What's in it

Violence

Moderate

Gunmen kill Vision's boss at his pub, a later battle leaves several dead with blood on windows, and a man is shot point-blank in the head. In a flashback, a boy watches his father shot dead. Vision cauterizes a wound with acid.

Language

Moderate

About one to four s-words per episode in episodes 1-4, plus "bastard," "ass," "dick," "wanker" and "bloody," and repeated misuse of God's name. No f-words were reported.

Sex and nudity

Mild

Crude jokes, including a pub patron assuming Vision wants to "shag" his wife and Ultron suggesting they watch porn. A painting of nude figures is discussed and a couple kisses. No sex scenes or nudity.

Drinking, drugs and smoking

Mild

Vision works in a pub, so drinking is often in the background; a man swigs whisky after bad news and guests drink at a gala. One joke mentions psilocybin. Nobody is shown drunk.

Scary or intense scenes

Moderate

An android serial killer removes eyeballs and other body parts from victims, Vision is possessed and levitates with glowing red eyes, a mock exorcism has an occult tone, and a teenager is threatened more than once.

Sensitive topics

  • Death of a parent

Worth talking about

Vision keeps asking what makes someone human. Ask whether it is memories, feelings or choices that matter most, and whether an artificial being could earn that label.
