Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest: parents' guide

3+our pick

Best for ages 3 and up. Rated TV-Y.

A cozy, mildly spooky Halloween special that's fine for preschoolers. George hears the legend of No Noggin, a headless scarecrow said to knock people's hats off at Halloween, and sets out to solve the mystery while getting ready for the town's Boo Festival and costume contest. A haunted house, some shadowy effects and a friend who seems to be chased by an army of pumpkins add a little spookiness, but everything is handled with gentle humor and turns out to have a sensible explanation. There's no bad language, romance or violence beyond slapstick tumbles.
