Alice in Borderland: parents' guide
Best for ages 17 and up. Rated TV-MA.
A gory, high-stakes survival thriller for older teens and adults. Young people stranded in an empty Tokyo must win deadly games to stay alive, and losing usually means an on-screen death by gunfire, lasers or falls, often with heavy bloodshed. Suicide recurs, including a parent's suicide in flashback, and a young woman cuts her own wrist on screen. Season 1 includes an attempted gang rape. Frequent f-words, heavy smoking, make-out scenes and brief nudity add to it, and season 3 (2025) centers on a drug injected to stop the heart. The combined intensity puts it at 17 and up.
