X: parents' guide
Best for ages 18 and up. Rated R for strong bloody violence and gore, strong sexual content, graphic nudity, drug use, and language.
A gory, sexually explicit slasher for adults only. In 1979 Texas, a small crew shoots a porn film on a remote farm, and the elderly couple who own it begin killing them. Expect several strong sex scenes with nudity during the shoot, a sex scene between the old couple, and a sustained scene in which the naked wife climbs into bed with a sleeping young woman and caresses and kisses her without consent. Deaths are bloody and built to shock, strong language runs throughout, and a lead snorts cocaine repeatedly. The explicit sex, the sexual threat and the gore put this at 18.
